All the tournaments will be conducted under the rules and customs of The Kingdom of Lochac with these additional requirements and conditions.

  • Each combatant shall bring at least two items of personal heraldic display. (as example: a painted shield; a banner; a torse and mantling; a tabard, surcoat or similar; a helm crest).
  • Combatants must register their intent to contest the prize before the end of the twentieth day of June 2022, and declare what heraldry (device) they will display upon the field.
  • To be eligible to carry away a prize a combatant must compete in both tournaments.
    (Combatants are requested to bring their own gauntlets)

The first tournament shall be fought as a single kill round robin in the normal manner; the combatants shall have their own choice of weapons.

The second tournament shall be fought as a single kill round robin in the normal manner; no shield may be carried upon the list.

Entry requirements

Combatants are minded that they must book before the end of the day on June 20, 2022 and declare what heraldry (device) they will display upon the field.

When booking, please include the following information so that the appropriate arrangements can be made to cause a tournament of great renown to be held upon the fields of Radburne:

  • Your (SCA) name and pronounciation;
  • Where you are from;
  • Heraldry (device);
  • Your favoured weapon;
  • Your favourite victory (e.g Slayer of dragons)
  • Your favourite thing about your personna (e.g. the best brewmaster in the land)

Upon the Awarding of Prizes

There will be anonymous voting by secret ballot for prizes during/at the conclusion of the tourney (paper and writing implements will be provided along with ballot boxes). Prizes will be awarded during the Feast of Friendship in the evening.

A prize shall be awarded to the combatant who most exemplifies the values of courtesy and chivalry and by doing so brings the most honor and renown to their consort. This prize shall be awarded for each tournament (voted by all attendees).

A prize shall be awarded to the combatant who provides the best death and by doing so brings the most entertainment to the field. This prize shall be awarded for each tournament (voted by spectators).

A prize shall be awarded to the combatant who is voted the most fun to fight by their fellow combtatants and by doing so brings the most joy to the tourney. This prize shall be awarded for each tournament (voted by all combatants).
