  • Heraldic Display
    • This is a Crown event so the more Heraldic display the better!
    • Bring personal/group banners, pennants etc
  • Something to sit on
    • There will be some chairs and benches provided however if you have a comfy chair you just can’t be without, please bring it!
    • A picnic blanket can also make a great place to sit under the trees
  • Feasting kit
    • Bowl
    • Plate
    • Drinking vessel (i.e. cup, mug, drinking horn)
    • Utensils (knife, fork, spoon)
    • Battery operated candles
    • Wax candles (will be able to be used if there is not a total fire ban – keep in mind it is still our fire season)
  • Be weather aware
    • Bring a sunshade if you have it – it will be hot
    • Bring a hat, sunscreen, insect repellent (roll on is best as some attendees may have issues with the sprays) – it will be hot
    • Please bring plenty of drinking water – there is no drinking water on site – it will be hot
    • Please reapply sunscreen regularly – it will be hot
    • Please stay hydrated, especially fighters – it will be hot
  • Camping gear (if you plan to camp)
    • Tent
    • Pegs/poles
    • Bed/air mattress
    • Bedding/pillow
    • Anything else to make you comfortable
  • Amenities
    • There is no ‘town’ water – the taps on site have river water only (not safe for human consumption)
    • Portaloos will be on site
    • Bush shower available for a rinse off (this is essentially a bucket with a shower head on it put up and down with a pulley). There is a privacy curtain and open roof shed.
    • There is no air conditioning
    • There is a dam on site (it is away from the event area) – please do not swim alone and supervise children at all times. It is deep and it can be quite cold under the warmer surface water.
  • Garb
    • Appropriate pre-17th century clothing
    • It will be hot (did I say that before?) – layers are good as are natural fibres.
    • Also bring something ‘just in case’ it rains
    • Appropriate footwear – the event is being held in a paddock (it is reasonably flat but scrubby – i.e. it is not a grassed park)
  • Fires
    • No campfires will be permitted (high fire danger season)
    • Wax candles will be permitted if there is not a total fire ban – must be attended at all times. Not permitted in tents.
