{"id":1370,"date":"2024-11-11T19:32:41","date_gmt":"2024-11-11T09:32:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/radburne.lochac.sca.org\/?page_id=1370"},"modified":"2024-12-01T12:45:46","modified_gmt":"2024-12-01T02:45:46","slug":"autumn-crown-what-to-bring","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/radburne.lochac.sca.org\/?page_id=1370","title":{"rendered":"Autumn Crown &#8211; &#8216;What to Bring&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Crown Entrants<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A list of requirements will be provided close to the event<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Armour<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Authorisation card<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Weapons\/shield<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Heraldic display<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Heraldic Display<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>This is a Crown event so the more Heraldic display the better!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bring personal\/group banners, pennants etc<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Something to sit on<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>There will be some chairs and benches provided however if you have a comfy chair you just can&#8217;t be without, please bring it!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A picnic blanket can also make a great place to sit under the trees<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Feasting kit<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bowl<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plate<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drinking vessel (i.e. cup, mug, drinking horn)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Utensils (knife, fork, spoon)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Battery operated candles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wax candles (will be able to be used if there is not a total fire ban &#8211; keep in mind it is still our fire season)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Be weather aware<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bring a sunshade if you have it &#8211; it will be hot<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bring a hat, sunscreen, insect repellent (roll on is best as some attendees may have issues with the sprays) &#8211; it will be hot<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please bring plenty of drinking water &#8211; there is no drinking water on site &#8211; it will be hot<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please reapply sunscreen regularly &#8211; it will be hot<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please stay hydrated, especially fighters &#8211; it will be hot<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Camping gear (if you plan to camp)<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Tent<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pegs\/poles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bed\/air mattress<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bedding\/pillow<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Anything else to make you comfortable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Amenities<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>There is no &#8216;town&#8217; water &#8211; the taps on site have river water only (not safe for human consumption)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Portaloos will be on site<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bush shower available for a rinse off (this is essentially a bucket with a shower head on it put up and down with a pulley). There is a privacy curtain and open roof shed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There is no air conditioning<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There is a dam on site (it is away from the event area) &#8211; please do not swim alone and supervise children at all times. It is deep and it can be quite cold under the warmer surface water.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Garb<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Appropriate pre-17th century clothing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It will be hot (did I say that before?) &#8211; layers are good as are natural fibres.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Also bring something &#8216;just in case&#8217; it rains<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Appropriate footwear &#8211; the event is being held in a paddock (it is reasonably flat but scrubby &#8211; i.e. it is not a grassed park)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Fires<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>No campfires will be permitted (high fire danger season)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wax candles will be permitted if there is not a total fire ban &#8211; must be attended at all times.
